અમદાવાદ : અમદાવાદના મોટેરા સ્થિત સરદાર પટેલ સ્ટેડિયમ ટૂંક સમયમાં વિશ્વનું સૌથી મોટું સ્ટેડિયમ બનશે. તેની બેસવાની ક્ષમતા 1 લાખ 10 હજાર લોકોની છે. આ સ્ટેડિયમનું ઉદ્ઘાટન અમેરિકન રાષ્ટ્રપતિ ડોનાલ્ડ ટ્રમ્પ હાથે કરવામાં આવી શકે છે.
હિટમેન રોહિત શર્મા આ સ્ટેડિયમનો નજારો જોઇ રોમાંચિત છે. તેણે ટ્વિટ કરીને લખ્યું- અમેઝિંગ … સ્ટેડિયમ વિશે આટલું સાંભળ્યા પછી હું ત્યાં રમવા માટે રાહ નથી જોઇ શકતો.

બીસીસીઆઈના પ્રમુખ સૌરવ ગાંગુલી પણ આ સ્ટેડિયમથી ખૂબ પ્રભાવિત થયા છે. ગાંગુલીએ ટ્વીટ કરીને લખ્યું છે કે, ‘અમદાવાદમાં આટલું મોટું અને ભવ્ય સ્ટેડિયમ જોઈને આનંદ થયો .. આ મેદાનમાં એક કેપ્ટન અને ખેલાડી તરીકે મારી ઘણી યાદો જોડાયેલી છે. હું એડનમાં હજારો લોકોની સંખ્યા જોઈને મોટો થયો છ. હું 24 મીએ આ સ્ટેડિયમ જોવા માટે ઉત્સુક છું.’
